These shirts are designed using the traditional rashguard short, tight fit – guys, they won't go over your shorts – and perfect for ladies who want to “ride it up a bit” to show off that belly ring. Next, we knew that 6 ounces just won't provide a 50 rating (except in the darkest colors) so we went with 6.5, and we've eliminated the addition of a boardshort connector– again to keep costs down for a feature many don't use unless surfing. The result is that the overall weight of the entire garment is the same as our competitors – but they only offer UV block of 15 while we offer 50+! (some big box stores' shirts aren't even rated) Pretty obvious decision if you ask us!

We've also designed-in a polo cut neck which is slightly higher than budget shirts. You'll have more sun protection for the same price (and less critters getting in your shirt when you are in the water.) This also helps with wetsuit chaffing.
